How do I get a Domain Name?
We can assist you with securing a domain name. Come up with a list of at least three possible options, that way if your prefered URL is not available, as many are already taken, we can help you find alternatives. Once we've found the right domain name, we will then coordinate purchasing it on your behalf.
How do I get my own hosting?
We can provide hosting for you or you are welcome to choose your own hosting plan from a third party hosting company. There are many hosting companies out there that have great deals on hosting plans. But be sure to check with a designer about the type of content you want on your website to ensure that the hosting plan you get will support the type of content you want to have.
What costs are involved in web design?
There are some annual costs that are standard accross every web site, regardless of the design components. These include an annual domain name fee and hosting fee. While we can coordinate both for you, they are truly independet of any designs fees and will be billed on a recurring basis, whether you choose to have them provided by Custom Perspective Designs or other providers. The design costs for your website are based on the features, design components, and other intricacies you choose. Websites can vary from as little as $500 for a basic site, and as much as several thousands of dollars for complex websites.
What do I need to get started?
All you need is an idea. Any vision for a design, a product, persona, company, or hobby, you name it, and we will work with you to come up with the most creative and individualized design.
How much input will I have in the design process?
You will have complete input through every step of the design. We'll begin with an ellaborate brainstorming session, where you tell us your ideas. Next, we'll make design suggestions based on your budget and chosen design options. We'll give you several options for how to translate your ideas into a web presnece and wait for your feedback on how to proceed. You'll have the opportunity to approve draft designs, tweak designs along the process, and give us direction on how to fine tune the final product. We'll also offer you guidance throughout the process based on our professional experience, however, our ultimate goal is to deliver a website that you love.
Will my website rank high on Google searches?
We configure all the websites we design for optimal search engine friendliness, however ranking high in search engines requires several factors. There are many more websites these days than there were a few years ago, so you are up against a lot of competition. The seniority of your website is one factor that we cannot control. The longer it has been online, the better it is for your ranking. Ranking high in search engines also depends on many other factors including choosing the right domain name to promoting your website through providers like Google AdWords. Another factor includes placing advertisements in other websites or doing a link exchange to and from high ranking websites within your industry.
